Soprano Arsenia Soto resides in Las Vegas and is currently a cast member in Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular. A performer and advocate of contemporary music, Ms. Soto has frequently appeared as a guest artist with UNLV’s new music ensemble, NEXTET. She has collaborated with composers such as Steven Stucky, Erica Muhl, Virko Baley, and Dan Welcher. She is equally at home on the opera stage. Her credits include Konstanze -Abduction from the Seraglio, Sophie- Die Weisse Rose, Despina -Cosi fan tutte, Poppea-L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Second Lady-The Magic Flute. Ms. Soto has performed with the Baltimore Opera Company, Washington National Opera Company, the Bay Area Summer Opera Company, the Kennett Square Symphony, the Richmond Philharmonic, and the Cornell University Symphony. She made her Carnegie/Weill Hall recital debut in 2004 under the auspices of the La Gesse Foundation. Other concerts include solo recitals in Toulouse, Carcassonne and Monticello- Charlottesville, VA. She is the winner of several competitions including the Russell C. Wonderlic Vocal Competition, the Baltimore Music Club Vocal Competition, and the Kennett Square Symphony Young Artist Competition. Ms. Soto graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts, and holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. She maintains a private vocal studio in Las Vegas and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
